HISTORY
Established in 2004, Irfan Ahmed M.S.C.E., P.E. founded Engineering Design Solutions with the aspiration to provide services as a uniquely positioned engineering firm that offered unparalleled excellence in specialized service areas. After having completed undergraduate schooling in 1991 from California State University at Fullerton, Ahmed ventured into the international engineering arena for a few years.
To further hone his skills set, he obtained a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Wayne State University. Upon receiving his post-grad degree in 1995 Ahmed developed a string of highly potent working relationships with a number of key players in several major companies spanning multiple industries.
Armed with 20 years of Structural Engineering experience in a consultative business environment as well as expertise in the facilities engineering field, Ahmed’s portfolio includes several high-profile projects. Having worked on complex projects such as designing major new industrial and manufacturing facilities, his company has also excelled at developing, designing and implementing challenging industrial retrofit design of existing structures.
His firm’s dedication to quality has served the company well – with industry and corporate awards plus extensive glowing accolades from clientele. With a client base that spans several industries, EDS has developed a solid reputation amongst industry peers as a custom-engineering firm that is equipped to manage local, regional, national and global projects.
