STRUCTURAL CHALLENGES

• Evaluate Blast wall construction and modify it.
• Rigging of major large tank vessels was taken care by designing gantry beams to lift them in place.
• Creative design was done to minimize rework of existing structural that kept the field work costs down.

EDS provided complete building structural assessment to help establish a clear load path for a new Process Module inside a production building. Existing smaller module with blast walls were modified for larger new module. New operations floor was added to access process tanks. Load-cell equipped tanks were supported of rigid new structural supports. New secondary containment dike for outside tanks were designed per EPA requirements. New trestle access and egress from elevated floor was provided using MIOSHA Safety standards.
